I finally got myself into a weight management program. This decision was long overdue and was finally made into a workable three-month program. It is being run by the company I work for as part of their wellness program for employees and management.

There is a tiny twist to the program as it will be run like a reality show similar to the show Biggest Loser. First weigh in will be on Tuesday (February 26, 2008).Right now I am more than 30 lbs. overweight my height is 6′ 2 1/2″ and I roughly weigh 245 lbs. My weight fluctuates anywhere from 230 - 245 lbs depending on the season. I should be somewhere between 190 - 210 lbs to be considered fit. It is a breakthrough for me to even sign up for the program. The past year had me put a lot of thought into managing my weight problem, even had a few complimentary gym memberships but never really made an effort to do something physically about my excess fat and weight.

Reading the weight-loss blog of Saphrym also served as an inspiration. It helped me to finally decide to take part in the program which by coincidence is being launched next week.

Archon Digital will eventually cover highlights of the program as well as feature those who will make significant progress in the coming weeks.

    i have been on a constant diet 6 years now but no effect at all. I even joined sparkle but the foods are not all available here waaaaa..

    OT: lamo di ko yata magawa yung threaded coments sa 2.5 ko at popularity :P 2.5 ba ito? yung ads din pala wala pa din waaaaa

    padaan po.. tabi tabi po.. tangkad mo pala ha malamang si wifey mo tall din :D

    I’ve lost almost 2″ inches but my weight went up 2kg.

    Di ko pa nalagay yung popularity pero threaded comments nga etong plugin ko.

    …and my wife is just 5 feet :)

    Yup I gained 1kg this month :( but since I lost almost two inches to my waist :) then it’s fine for now. I actually want to lose up to 40 pounds within this three month period.

    40lbs in 3 months? is it healthy? some shows (like Oprah) on TV said that the healthiest lbs to loose a month is 4-8lbs which is 1-2lbs a week :)

    Maybe 40lbs is too much for a three-month goal but we do have someone overseeing how we should lose weight properly. There are about 60 of us and we get to weigh-in and get measurements every month.

    Good on you. I think the putting on of weight could be muscle mass.
